The modern world can be regarded as an urban world. Rapid urban development and the challenges faced with the growth of cities are clearly cited in official reports of the United Nations.
Creating high quality urban spaces in conjunction with people's needs is the main strategy for contemporary urban development.
This conference takes an academic approach to the long lost discipline of urban design in Iran while at the same time evaluating the current concepts of urban desigin in Iran against international standards.
